If you are more interested in inner truth than
in holding on to any beliefs about reality, it’s wise to remember that the ego
is the ultimate trickster. As long as you’re willing to play the game, it will
do anything to keep you ensnared in its fictions. However, once you’ve really
had enough, and begin to question what lies behind the apparent reality of your
life, you have taken the first steps on what, in the spiritual world, is known
as ‘the path’. Walking the path of self-awareness is a lifetime journey, which
ultimately leads toward experiencing the deep knowing of inner truth, which is
everyone’s birthright. Inner truth, ultimately, can only be known
experientially, not intellectually. If it is a source of doubt, you have missed
it entirely.
